Shun court case, support LP gov candidates, Primate Ayodele advises Obi
The Senior Pastor of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has called on the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi to make efforts to support all the party’s candidadtes to boost their morales, adding, he should not focus only on court cases.
Primate Ayodele said Obi should canvass votes for LP governorship candidates in five states ahead of the March 18 gubernatorial election to increase their chances of winning at the polls
While expressing optimism that the Labour Party candidadtes will emerge winner at the polls on the rescheduled governoship and state House of Assembly elections on March 18, Primate Ayodele warned other political parties in Abia, Cross River, Delta, Akwa-Ibom, and Enugu States against underestimating the candidates of the LP noting that it will give them a run for their money.
Recall the elections initially scheduled to hold on Saturday March 11 had been postponed by the Independent National Electoral Commission to hold on March 18, 2023.
In a statement by his spokesman, on Friday, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele urged all the LP candidates to do more to maintain the political status quo in those states.
The cleric said, ‘’The APC and PDP in Abia state, Cross River, Delta, Akwa-Ibom, Enugu should not underestimate the governorship candidates of the Labour party.
“If these candidates put in efforts, they will shake long term parties in these states. Candidates of the ruling parties should sit right because underestimating Labour party will lead to their loss.
‘’Peter Obi shouldn’t focus too much on the court cases, what he should do now is make efforts to support the governorship candidates of these states. He should attend their rallies in order to boost their chances.”
