Reactions have trailed the graduation of a teenage monarch in Ondo State, Oba Oloyede Adeyeoba Akinghare II, the Arujale (Ojima) of the Okeluse kingdom, who just completed his secondary school education.
Oba Akinghare II who is arguably considered the youngest monarch in Nigeria took to his Instagram page to share pictures from his graduation ceremony.
The teenage monarch thanked his entire family and the people of the Okeluse kingdom for standing by him throughout the 6 years he spent in boarding school.
He wrote, “Congratulations to me as the journey of 6 years in secondary school finally ended today, thankful to God Almighty, my parents, my sisters, my chiefs, my friends, well-wishers and the entire citizens of Okeluse Kingdom for all the support every one of you has rendered throughout the 6years of being in a boarding school…”
The online community trooped to the comment section of the now-rival Instagram post to wish him the best in the rest of his endeavours and a successful reign.
Some netizens, however, wondered how a 17-year-old got picked ahead of more mature men, while some jokingly asked the monarch if he got flogged by teachers while in school.
