The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Hassan-Kukah, on Wednesday claimed that Nigerian political elites are in agreement to steal the resources of the nation.
Kukah, who spoke on Channels TV’s Politics Today, knocked the political elites for mismanaging the resources of the country.
While responding to a question about how the nation can develop a political culture, the cleric stated that this may take a longer period of time as there is no agreement among the nation’s political elites.
“How can we develop a political culture when there’s no agreement among the political elite; however there’s an agreement of stealing the resources of Nigerians.
“On that there’s no disagreement, political elites are united in that regard and the result is the kind of environment we now live in, the results is the insecurity that surrounds us…” He added.
