The First Female Bishop, Right Reverend Nkechi Nwosu has been ordained at The Christ Methodist Cathedral Church, Jos.
The development which shows that there is no limit to propagation of the gospel of Christ and the work of God cuts across all genders.
The decision to confirm her as the new Bishop was taken at the biennial conference of Methodist Church Nigeria, that took place last year when she was elected as the new Bishop to oversee the Jos Diocese.
The first Female Bishop was however ordained by the Archbishop of Kaduna, Joseph Nnomah.
During the church service that was held to effect her new title, Nwosu said all humans are equal before God.
She therefore urged Nigerians to always seek God in whatever they do, most especially, during the forthcoming elections in the country.
According to her, “we must all go out there and agree with God, listen to the spirit of God and do what God said we should do.
“Do that so that God will use us and anybody he will put on that seat to restore Nigeria to a place of pride in Africa, and the world.
However, the new Bishop started doing her spiritual work at the Diocese, after the confirmation of her new title as The new Bishop of Jos Diocese.
Nwosu saw the new title as a privilege to serve God more and as an evidence to show that anybody can achieve greatness in life, and service to God is not gender based.
