Married Christians must build their homes on scriptural standards – Abuja cleric
A revivalist, Reverend Mike Babatunde, has urged Christians to build their homes on scriptural standards while speaking at the four-day revival service of the First Baptist Church in Gwagwalada Area Council of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to Leadership, in his sermon, the Guest Speaker from First Grace Baptist Church, Ikorodu in Lagos State, Reverend Babatunde, called on christians to build Godly homes for the betterment of the society.
Babatunde who quotes copiously from the Bible but dwelt on Psalm 127 verse 1, noted that any home not built on God’s foundation would end up destroyed.
He said, building a Godly home was not about wedding ceremonies, so the need for couples to always seek the face of God before marriage has become necessary.
He noted that most problems and challenges the country is facing today started from home as a result of bad parenting and ungodly families.
While urging married Christians to embrace God’s wisdom and knowledge in building productive homes, Reverend Babatunde also said that Christians must be steadfast in faith and prayers in order to overcome challenges confronting their homes.
The host Pastor and Minister in charge of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada, Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelami, had earlier stated that the four-day revival service was to reawaken the consciousness of Christians towards building Godly homes.
Reverend Oyelami stated that the revival service was purposely established to educate upcoming couples on the needs before going to the altar for marriage.
He also enjoined Christian bachelors and spinsters to always desist from the activities that would affect their marital lives.
