The Borno State Governor, Prof. Banbagana Zulum, has explained how crime rates in the region can be reduced.
He stated that with the proper teachings and adoption of Islamic education in the region, the state will record a great reduction in crime rate.
According to Daily Post, Zulum, while speaking at the 37th national Quranic recitation competition in Gusau, Zamfara also appealed to the indigenes of the State to support efforts to rid the region of insecurity.
“It is also very clear that Governor Matawalle inherited the insecurity and had tried his best to address the insecurity situation”
He emphasized that the majority of crimes are committed by young people and that a lack of proper Islamic education contributed to the rise in social vices.
