Anambra Methodist Church partners FRSC on traffic management

The Bishop of the Methodist Church, Nigeria, Diocese of Awka, Anambra State, Rt Rev Moses Nwakama has disclosed that the church would join hands with Federal Road Safety Corps in traffic management and enlightenment.

Bishop Nwakama made this disclosure during a visit to the command in Awka, saying that traffic control in Anambra should not to be left for the FRSC alone.

The cleric said he was part of FRSC family, having been a member of Special Marshal, a position, he explained gave him the opportunity to partner with FRSC in controlling traffic within and outside the state.

He approached the traffic management authority to look into its request to assist in controlling traffic during the event.

The Sector Commander, Adeoye Irelewuyi, represented by Acting Head of Operations, Georgina Omeke, however, praised the bishop and his team for the visit, promising them of cordial working relationship.

He explained that units would be created across the 21 local governments in order to ensure the public was well informed and enlighted on the corps programmes.
