Abiodun mourns death of Oba Saburee Bakre of Gbagura kingdom
The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commiserated the Chiefs and people of Gbagura community over the passing of the Agura of Gbagura, Oba Saburee Bakre.
Oba Bakre, who was the ninth Agura of Gbagura died Wednesday, at the age of 61.
The monarch passage was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi.
According to the statement, “He was one of the traditional rulers of the five sections of the Egbaland and under his jurisdictions are 72 townships,”
”The deceased monarch was a highly respected and honoured monarch during his lifetime, his legacies will linger for long in the hearts of his family and the people of Gbagura, Abeokuta.
The SSG stated further that, “the State Government commiserates with the chiefs, the family and the entire Gbagura people, both home and abroad on this great loss of Kabiyesi.”
