Ramadan: Kaduna Ansar-Ud-Deen distributes food items to widows, less privileged
The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Kaduna branch has distributed packaged foods items to widows, orphans, and the less privileged in the community for the Ramadan fast.
Nigeria Tribune reported that the food items, consisting of rice, semovita, beans, spaghetti, and vegetable oil, were presented by the Vice Chairperson of the Women’s Wing, Hajiya Mulikat Bakare, to the beneficiaries selected from the five Divisions of the branch.
It was learnt that at the weekly general Assalat program, the Chairman of the Society, Alhaji Sabur Isola Adeyemi, explained how significant it is to give succour to the less privileged in society, including organizing skill acquisition programs for the unemployed.
He stressed further that this was part of the annual welfare programs of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Kaduna branch.
“The widows like the vulnerable, need lots of help and this is our own little way as an Islamic organization to reach out to the vulnerable and the less privileged among us,” said Alhaji Sabur Isola Adeyemi.
“Even if we can’t help all of them, we reached out to those we can to enable them to have an easier and more enjoyable Ramadan.”
Reacting, one of the beneficiaries, Sister Fadhilat Adetona, from Division 1, said, “We thank the Ansar-Ud-Deen Kaduna branch for this kind gesture, and we pray that Allah will reward the Society and its members abundantly.”
The beneficiaries then prayed to Allah to accept the fast of the members and those who contributed to their well-being.
The Ansar-Ud-Deen Kaduna branch called on its members to continue their good deeds and do more to reach out to the less privileged around them, especially during the Ramadan season.
