Ahead of the governornship election in Nigeria, the Christian Association of Nigeria in Plateau State, has refuted claims that the association has endorsed a governornship candidate in the State.
According to Daily Trust, this was disclosed by the CAN’s state Chairman, Polycarp Lubo, through a press statement on Tuesday.
Lubo stated that Christians in the State are at liberty to vote their preferred candidates in the coming polls, while he also encouraged them to prioritize competency.
He said, “Concerning the governorship and the state assembly elections, be enthusiastic to come and vote the candidates of your choice in the interest of Plateau State.
“Vote candidates who are God-fearing; have integrity and are accountable; vote for men and women of good character who have track records and are passionate about Plateau.”
He also encouraged the people to pray so that God’s will prevail in the coming election.
