Lagos monarch urges Igbos to back Sanwo-Olu’s re-election bid
The traditional ruler of Iba Kingdom and Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators, Oba Sulaimon Raji, has called on the Igbo community in Ojo, Iba and Otto-Awori axis to support the reelection bid of the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Babajide Sanwo-Olu by massively voting for him at the governorship and state House of Assembly election on Saturday, March 18.
Tribune reported that the monarch made the call during a meeting with the leadership of the Igbo community in the axis in his palace.
While explaining the reason the incumbent governor must be reelected, the monarch said, he is the best among all the aspirants contesting for the governorship seat in the election in the state adding a vote for him to retain his seat for another four years is a vote for continuity of good governance in the state.
He hailed the Igbo community for peaceful co- existence and engagement in their trades and businesses over the years.
The the monarch implored them to keep up the enduring peace and harmonious co-existence with other tribes in the society.
