The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), has urged Muslims across the world, to make the spread of true knowledge of Islam their priority, to achieve global peace and unity.

The President made this known in Medinah, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, after an extensive tour of the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilisation in the city, as part of his engagement in the holy land.

However, the Nigerian leader applauded the Saudi government for deploying the latest technological devices in presenting the essence of Islam, its high objectives, and qualitative instructions.

According to the Muslim society needs a futuristic system, conveying knowledge and teaching in a unique technique that will make for a good knowledge of the very characteristics of the religion.

“It is necessary to have a better understanding of the religion, away from its misconstrued teachings and perceptions as a way to achieving global peace, harmony, and progress,” President Buhari said.

While appreciating the Saudi authorities for their efforts, in taking the world to the established origins of Islamic civilization, he preached for additional combined international efforts, to achieve a global teaching of the religion, as a way of achieving global unity.

According to him, the Museum aims to maintain and illustrate Islam in its true and pure picture, and in its noble and eloquent instructions, which is a message of mercy, love, justice, peace, and moderation, through cultural exhibitions.

However, he described the museums as a combination of beautiful buildings and majesty meanings.

“It also seeks to provide a comprehensive cultural overview of the Prophet, his noble manners, great morals, and flexible teachings, in a distinct scientific and research-based approach, using the latest technologies, and the most advanced and creative presentation tools,” he said.
