It was an emotional scene on Friday as the remains of Ven. Reverend Father Isaac Achi, was laid to rest at the St Michael Catholic Church premises in Minna.
Achi, was burnt to death by yet-to-be-identified assailants on Sunday.
The Dean of the Catholic Institute of West Africa, Catholic University, Port Harcourt, Very Rev. Samuel Gwimi, while speaking at the funeral serviceexpressed shock over the manner in which Achi was killed, adding that they were still searching for answers to the killing.
Gwimi encouraged political figures and security personnel to take charge of security matters in order to halt further deaths and make sure the killers are apprehended.
The late priest was described as someone who constantly offered solutions to issues and was very generous to everyone by the Niger State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Most Reverend Bulus Yohanna.
